Job Brief

The incumbent has full responsibility for development and communication of relevant materials and tools, enabling the sales team to achieve the company’s strategic imperatives. This includes analysis, planning, reporting, sales communication, and sales process optimization. They are the key liaison between the Sales and Marketing Departments, supporting the overall productivity and effectiveness of the snacks and confections sales teams. He/she also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the sales and marketing teams, leads in the development of compelling fact-based presentations that are used by sales colleagues and broker partners. Incorporating shopper insights and syndicated data (primarily IRI), the presentations are targeted for a variety of trade channels and multiple in-store locations.
• Coordinate forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and maintains high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other internal stakeholders.
• Works to ensure all sales organization objectives are communicated in a timely and targeted manner.
• Working with sales management, proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement, and develop solutions, leading to continuous improvement.
• Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other information essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed
• Works with enabling technologies, such as afs, to ensure compliance with required trade promotion standards, and developing tactics to improve effectiveness, ROI and budgeting.
• Manages promotional programs to ensure sales team delivers against forecast.
• Build positive customer relationships while working with sales colleagues and broker partners, peers and management.
• Develops positive relationships with internal constituents and support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is required.
• 5+ years sales or sales support progressive experience, with 1-2 years leadership experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency using syndicated data while managing analytically rigorous initiatives.
• Familiarity with new product innovation / launches.
• Able to function with a high level of proficiency and accuracy in a fast- paced environment.
• Strong vision and focus on where to take the business coupled with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute.
• Intellectual, financial, and analytical horsepower with ability to apply problem solving techniques and take on business challenges.
